Public Involvement
Involving the public throughout the project is an important part of the planning process. For the Glenbrook Cables Project, or any large infrastructure project, the Development and Management (D&M) phase is the next step in the review process, as defined by Connecticut state statute. It requires discussions with municipal officials from communities impacted by the transmission routes.
As part of the Municipal Consultation process, municipalities can hold "open houses" and public meetings where residents have an opportunity to discuss their concerns with subject experts from CL&P.
In addition to participating in public meetings, community members have many opportunities to gain information on the project and voice a position through the Connecticut Siting Council .
Connecticut Light & Power representatives are also available, by request, for small group presentations. For more information, contact the Glenbrook Cables Hotline at (866) 398-2918 or Michael Veneski, Public Involvement Specialist, at (203) 697-9363, ext. 330.
