Bridgeport
The Middletown-Norwalk Project in Bridgeport consists of 6.6 miles of new 345-kV underground lines (3.5 miles will be built by CL&P and 3.1 miles will be built by The United Illuminating Company) and the construction of a new substation.

Underground Lines
In Bridgeport, The United Illuminating Company will construct the first portion of the Middletown-Norwalk transmission line from the Stratford town line to the new Singer Substation off Henry Street, near Harbor Yard.
CL&P will construct two new 345-kV underground transmission lines in a single duct bank exiting the new Singer Substation to the Fairfield town line. Traveling northeast to southwest, the 3.5 mile route follows:
- Main Street – crossing between Atlantic St. and University Ave.
- Broad Street – from south of Atlantic St. to Railroad Ave.
- Railroad Avenue - from Broad St to Fairfield Ave.
- Fairfield Avenue (Rt. 130) - from Railroad Ave to the Fairfield/Bridgeport town line.
