What's Being Built in Fairfield

Underground Lines
In Fairfield, two new 345-kV transmission lines will be installed underground in a single duct bank. Traveling northeast to southwest, the 3.6 mile route follows:

  • Post Road Street (CT Route 130) - from Fairfield/Bridgeport town line to Post Road (US Route 1)
  • Post Road East (US Route 1) - from Post Road (CT Route130) to Old Post Road
  • Old Post Road - from Post Road East (US Route1) to Pequot Avenue
  • Pequot Avenue - from Old Post Road to Boston Post Road (US Route 1)
  • Boston Post Road (US Route 1) - from Pequot Avenue to Westport town line

Fairfield Construction Update

This Week:May 12-17Duct bank trenching will occur on Old Post Road between Pequot Avenue and John Street, generally between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Trenching will also occur on Post Road between Center Street and the Westport Town line, between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Crews will also be working on Post Road in the vicinity of Sasco Hill Road, approximately between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Trenching will also occur on Post Road between the Ash Creek/Bridgeport City line and Shoreham Terrace between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
