Overhead Lines
The right of way (ROW) covers a total distance of 2.6 miles. The 1.4 mile section from Black Pond Junction to East Meriden Substation is 275 feet wide. The single-circuit 345-kV monopole will remain and two new 345-kV monopoles added. (Typical height, 130')

The 1.2 mile section of overhead ROW that begins at the East Meriden Switching Station and runs to the Meriden/Wallingford town line is 320 feet wide. The double-circuit monopole that carries both a 115-kV and 345-kV circuit will remain. The 115-kV wood H-Frame will be removed and two new steel monopoles added: one will carry a single 345-kV circuit; the other will carry both a 345-kV and 115-kV circuit. (Typical height 130')
