What's Being Built in Westport

Underground Lines
In Westport, two new 345-kV transmission lines will be installed underground in a single duct bank. Traveling northeast to southwest, the 5.5 mile route follows:

  • Post Road East (US Route 1) - from Fairfield town line to Imperial Avenue
  • Imperial Avenue - from Post Road East (US Route 1) to Westport Women's Club
  • Saugatuck River - Lines will be installed under the river
  • Lincoln Street - from Riverside Avenue to Post Road West (US Route 1)
  • Post Road West (US Route 1) - from Lincoln Street to Norwalk town line

This Week:May 5-10Work will occur on Post Road East at the Fairfield Town Line, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
