What's Being Built in Westport
Underground Lines
In Westport, two new 345-kV transmission lines will be installed underground in a single duct bank. Traveling northeast to southwest, the 5.5 mile route follows:
- Post Road East (US Route 1) - from Fairfield town line to Imperial Avenue
- Imperial Avenue - from Post Road East (US Route 1) to Westport Women's Club
- Saugatuck River - Lines will be installed under the river
- Lincoln Street - from Riverside Avenue to Post Road West (US Route 1)
- Post Road West (US Route 1) - from Lincoln Street to Norwalk town line
