CL&P is building a new 115-kilovolt (kV) - 13.8-kV bulk power substation in Westport, Connecticut. This substation will replace temporary equipment with a permanent solution, supply the growing load in the town of Westport, and strengthen the reliability of the local electrical supply in the area.

  • Connecticut Siting Council approved the project - May 2010
  • Development and Management Plan approved by Connecticut Siting Council - June 2010
  • Construction scheduled to start in September 2010
